Payments

Am I going to be locked into a contract?

We believe in freedom and flexibility, and that’s why we don’t lock our citizens into a contract. At any time, you can pause your subscription or skip a month… or even cancel completely (although we’ll be very sad to see you go).

Can I buy wine from your shop if I’m not subscribed?

Yes, of course you can. Our wine shop operates pretty much like any other, giving you the freedom to choose the bottles you want to try, when you want to try them. However, our subscription service has been designed to take you on an adventure into the realms of flavour, and provide plenty of pleasant surprises… so we’d always recommend signing up and joining our revolution!

Why have you chosen this price range for your bottles?

We thought long and hard about how to set the price range which was right for our citizens. This is a revolutionary wine subscription service, so we felt it was our duty to choose those wines which are not just perfect for casual, enjoyable drinking sessions, but which also reflect real quality and artisanal approaches, too.

What payment methods do you accept?

We’re happy to accept most major credit cards. If you’re unsure, just get in touch and we’ll be happy to check for you.

Are my payment details secure?

All of the payments we receive are processed through a leading security system, meaning your details will be absolutely safe. What’s more, we promise not to share any of your details with any third parties.

How do I cancel an order?

Once your order is sent out for delivery, it’s not possible to make a cancellation. We try to be as fast and efficient as possible, and as a result, it might not be easy to cancel your order once you’ve clicked that button. However, if you have a concern, just get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.

Shipping

Approximately how long does the shipping take?

Between 2 – 7 business days. If you live in Sydney, we may be able to expedite delivery for you.

What should I do if I'm not home at the delivery time?

On your shopping cart page, you can leave us a note with instructions for delivery – for example ‘please leave on the doorstep, behind the recycling bin’, or whatever works for you.

Is the shipping expensive?

We offer a flat fee for all deliveries, which we try to keep as low as possible for our citizens.

Can my wines be delivered more speedily?

If you live in Sydney close to our operations centre, send us an email if you need speedy delivery, and we’ll try to get our minions to hurry things up for you.

Do I need to be at home to accept the delivery?

If you’ve requested faster delivery, then somebody will need to be at home to sign off. However, if you’re not going to be home for a normal delivery, please leave instructions on your shopping cart page letting us know where we can stash your box.

Can my wine box be shipped to my workplace?

No problem at all – your office mates will be delighted, we’re sure! Just make sure an adult is present to collect it.

I’m going travelling for a month - can I pause my box delivery?

Absolutely – we wouldn’t want that wine to be sitting on your doorstep not being enjoyed! Just log into your account page and follow the instructions therein.

What to expect

How have the wines been selected?

The President, the First Dude and the Wine Master have made connections with the best, most inventive and original wineries, in order to seek out the bottles our citizens deserve. We look out for the best wines, made from a wide range of grape varietals – wines which consistently offer the highest quality for the price range we offer. These are all wines that we love, which we know you’ll love too… so rest assured, you’re going to be getting the good stuff in each and every box!

What if I'm not satisfied with the wine you send me?

Here at Wine Box Republic, we want our citizens to be 100% satisfied with every bottle we send them. If you receive a wine that’s flawed in any way, or which has problems with the bottle (or which you really didn’t like drinking), let us know via email, and we’ll supply you with credit for a replacement bottle of your choice.

What can I expect in my custom wine box?

Your custom wine box will come with our carefully-selected range of delicious, independent wines. But the fun doesn’t end there – each wine will be accompanied with a card telling you the story behind the wine, some info on the region, and food pairing tips and a recipe for you to try.

How are your wines chosen?

We travel the world seeking out delicious wines for our citizens – wines which we love, and which we’re confident you’ll fall in love with too. If you want more information on how we achieve this, check out the other pages on our website and read up on our manifesto.

Is there a minimum number of bottles that I can order?

What sort of revolution would this be if we imposed a minimum or maximum quantity when it comes to pleasure and adventure? Naturally, there is no minimum… so enjoy as much or as little as you wish.

Are there age restrictions?

We might be revolutionaries, but we’re not irresponsible ones. You know the age restriction for drinking in Australia is 18 just as well as we do.
